Unless you’ve been living under the rock for the past couple of months, you have probably heard about the Urban Decay Naked Heat eyeshadow palette. I was lusting over it for months before I finally managed to get my hands on it as a Christmas present and I have been using it ever since.

The eyeshadow palette is completely different to the Naked 3 palette that was aimed towards those with fair skin whereas the Heat palette is the most dreamiest for those who are in love with warm toned colours. Personally, these are the tones that don’t just suit my skin tone the most but also the shades that I love the most. It’s quickly become a staple in my makeup routine. Similar to other Urban Decay eyeshadow palettes, they are pigmented really well, blend easily and are long lasting. I haven’t really used the brush that comes with the palette as I’ve been enjoying the Nanshy brushes which I’ll be talking about later this week. I have actually created an evening and day look with the shadows in this palette which I thought I would share with you.

Day Makeup Look

I tried to keep this look subtle so that it was suitable for work, university or college. I used Sauced on the lid which I think worked really well. I darkened the outer corner of the eyes with Cayenne and a touch of En Fuego. For the inner corner, I tried to brighten it up a little using Ounce. I finished the eyes with the Ciaté London Fierce Flicks eyeliner (similar here) and the Medusa’s Makeup Witch Lash mascara. I kept the lips subtle as well by using the Green People Velvet Matte Lipstick* in Damask Rose which I think is the perfect shade for Spring.

Evening Makeup Look

For the evening look, I used Lumbre on the lid as I wanted to add a little bit of sparkle. For the outer corner of the eye, I used a mix of En Fuego and Ashes which I think worked really well. I tried to add Ashes on the waterline too however it didn’t work too well. To brighten the inner corner, I used Ounce which I think worked much better with this look. Again, I finished the eye look off with the Ciaté London Fierce Flicks eyeliner (similar here) and the Medusa’s Makeup Witch Lash mascara. I chose to use GOSH Liquid Matte Lipstick* in the shade The Red. I was skeptical to use this one the other night when I went out for food and drinks with some of the girls from work but even after plenty of delicious food, drinks and ice cream for pudding – the lipstick stayed on my lips without fading as much as I thought it would. I definitely want to invest in other shades now as I love the formulation on the lips and how long lasting the colour was.

Overall, I love the Naked Heat palette and would probably say that it is my favourite of the Urban Decay eyeshadow palettes that I have tried by far. The shades are amazing for those with olive/darker skin tones and can work during the day and evening to create a range of different look although I’ve definitely got the Naked Heat Petite on my wishlist now…

Have you got this palette? What’s your thoughts?
