Do you know when that brand brings out a limited edition product every year and then it disappears and you don’t know whether it will be hitting the shelves again in the following year, however, you continue to love it and use it even during the other seasons? Well for me, Snow Fairy will always hold a special place in my heart. Although I know by now that this one will not be disappearing anytime soon.
Yes, Snow Fairy is the most anticipated Christmas product that Lush sells but I didn’t really get the hype until a few years ago when I tried the shower gel. Since then, it has become its own personality trait within the Lush Christmas collection with a body spray, bubble bar, bath bombs, soap and a lip scrub.
If you’re not a one for sweet, candy scents then unfortunately your not going to like it, however, for me I LOVE it! The shower gel leaves my skin feeling soft and nourished whilst the formula has little particles of shiny blue glitter, perfect for this time of year. Whether I am using the shower gel, body spray or soap – the scent lingers on my body all day.
Are you a fan of Snow Fairy? What is your favourite Lush scent?

Yaoh* is a UK based company, founded in 2002, who use hemp oil in all of their products. Hemp Oil is used within skincare for two main reasons; it is a natural moisturiser especially useful for dry, tired or dehydrated skin, hair and nails and it helps to improve skin hydration and oxygenation. They offer food products and an extensive range of body and haircare ranging from lip balms and shower gel to shampoo, conditioners and body butters all available in exciting scents. All of Yaoh’s products are 100% vegan and free from animal testing, and their food range is 100% certified organic.
The shower gel and the bubble bath were the first two products that I used up out of the selection of products that they sent to me. I’m in love with the shower gel that I received and have since repurchased. It lathers up really well and has left my skin feeling nourished after stepping out the shower without even applying moisturiser. The bubble bath smells like those classic Fruit Salad chews that you used to get within pick ‘n’ mix counters at Woolworths. It doesn’t create as many bubbles as a bubble bar from Lush would however the scent lasts for such a long time and I can usually smell the fragrance on my skin when I’ve got out the bath.
The body butter is one of those staple products that you should have in your skincare collection especially if you have dry skin. I’ve had eczema ever since I was taking my GCSEs and have tried a range of products to help improve and, hopefully, clear it especially when I am feeling stressed. Apart from E45 cream that is unfortunately tested on animals and my beloved Dream Cream nothing else has worked however this has helped on the days it hasn’t been as bad during a flare up. The formulation is thick and creamy but leaves your skin feeling nourished and moisturised. One of the things that I look for in a body butter or moisturiser is how fast the product dries as there is nothing worse than standing in your underwear waiting for it to sink into the skin. Luckily enough the body butter dries extremely quick which I love. I’ve not had the chance to try the moisturiser properly yet however the scent is so unusual compared to anything else that I’ve had before so I am excited to give it a try. The best way I can describe the scent is earthy and natural, a perfect unisex moisturiser if you are in the market for a new one.
The shampoo and conditioner has been my favourite combo of products that I have tried from the collection. My hair usually feels pretty dry and damaged when I’ve not gone for the dreaded hair cut regularly however this combo has changed that. My hair feels so soft and looks healthy too. As well as being organic, cruelty free and vegan, the formulation doesn’t contain parabens or sulphates which is better for your hair. At first, I didn’t think it would be so effective on my hair due to how thick and curly it is however I’ve had no problems. Unlike other shampoo and conditioners the formulation doesn’t lather up which is one of the reasons why I didn’t think it would be as effective as it is. I follow it up with the Umberto Giannini No More Frizz Serum and my hair feels amazing!
Finally, the lip balm has become a handbag staple. I don’t use it as much now in comparison to when I was at University and during the Winter months however this is a little god send. It is so moisturising on the lips and leaves them feeling super soft and plump. It has also helped with my cracked lips during the Winter too. Beeswax is an ingredient often found in many lip balms however Yaoh have created a formulation without this in. Did I mention that the scent is amazing too? I have more recently picked up their Coconut scent which is just as good.
As well as the products that I’ve mentioned above, you can also buy: suncream, hemp oil and hemp seeds. You can shop all of their products on the website or find your local stockist. As you can see on the website, the prices are extremely affordable as well which is perfect if you are on a budget like myself. Have you ever tried Yaoh before? What’s your thoughts? Is there anything that you’ve got your eyes on?

It feels like it has taken me ages to fall back in love with my blog however I’ve finished University for the summer now and I’ve finally got the sudden urge to write about things that I love again. I’m not going to be putting any pressure on myself with a schedule but as long as you follow me on socials or my blog over at Bloglovin’ then I am sure you will be kept in the loop with when I post.
I’ve been wanting to share my love for Naked Cherry for a while now but like I said in my previous post things have been a little tough to balance out. I picked up Naked Cherry when it was first released because the shades looked stunning and much better suited to my skin tone than the Naked 3 palette which I still love but not as much as the Cherry now. When I received the palette the shades are equally as gorgeous in person than they are on the website, if not better!
I’ve been using this little gem nearly every single day since purchase because I am in love with the shades so much. For my daily makeup routine I usually use a mix of Bing and Devilish on the outer corner and Caution or Hot Spot in the inner corner of my eyes. I think one of my favourite things about this palette is that the shades are all wearable on their own without being too light or too dark so it is great if you lead a really busy lifestyle and don’t have much time for a full on eye makeup look.
For the evening, I tend to stick to the darker side of the palette by patting Drunk Dial on top of Privacy which creates a lovely smokey eye with Bing and Feelz. Of course I know that Urban Decay have bought out some other gorgeous palettes that are still on my wishlist, hello Reloaded, but it’s important to not forget about this little gem. As with all Urban Decay eyeshadows I love the pigmentation of them and the colours come off really well when applied onto your eyes.
I can’t get over how fast the end of 2018 is going! I don’t know about any of you but it feels as though I’ve blinked and Summer has disappeared and then suddenly everyone is talking about Christmas plans. I wasn’t really feeling it until the other week when I was kindly invited for a Christmas preview event at Lush Newcastle.
The event was lovely! There was only a few of us but we were given an in-depth guided tour of all the new products which allowed us to experiment with the products and see all of the bath bombs, bubble bars and skincare products. It looked as though Christmas had hit the store in full force which is one of the many things that I love about seeing all the festivities taking place.
There has been so many new products this year and I’m kinda loving it! A few of my usual favourites have returned including Shoot For The Stars, Golden Wonder and Snow Fairy Shower Gel (my personal favourite) but there are also some new ones that are still on my wish list. I thought I would pick up a couple of the new and exciting products to try.
Bubble bars are one of my favourite products that Lush do, especially around Christmas time. The first one that I picked up was Puddy Holly which is the only Christmas Bubbleroon. It smells exactly the same as marzipan so if you are into sweet scents then this one is definitely for you. I love the silver glitter coated all over it too but perhaps that is just my personal choice. You would expect Candy Cane to have a minty smell however that’s not the case; it has bergamot and sicilian lemon oils giving the bubble bar a rather citrus scent which enhances when crumbled in the hot water. I love unique scents so when I smelt the strawberry scented Naughty Elf, he landed in my basket. He has violet leaf and mango absolute in the formulation so he smells quite refreshing and uplifting.
I’m so excited to get my hands on the Sleepy Shower Gel. I use the body lotion every night as the lavender helps me feel relaxed when the insomnia kicks in during the evening. I can’t wait to have a bubble bath with this one when I’m struggling to sleep however it was the Cinders Shower Gel which really was the star of the show for me. I can’t describe the scent but it just smells A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! It’s a stronger marzipan scent than Puddy Holly but it also contains pumpkin seed oil which moisturises and nourishes the skin. Can you imagine having a refreshing shower with this on a winter morning? I can’t wait!
When it comes to bath bombs, I treated myself to the Cheery Christmas bath bomb because it just looks stunning when in the water. It also shares a similar scent to Snow Fairy and the Comforter with strong blackcurrant. It smells so good! I also picked up Perle De Sel because the scent was quite relaxing. I find anything with rose absolute relaxing but it also looks quite luxurious with African salt pearls.
Finally, I picked up a bottle of Snow Fairy Body Spray! Yes you have just read that correctly! It’s quite pricey however it smells exactly the same as the classic candy floss and bubblegum scent that most Christmas Lush fanatics fall head over heels in love with. I picked one up for a birthday present but I wanted to get a bottle for myself.
Are you excited by this year’s Lush Christmas range? I definitely want to get the Gingerbread Man moisturising bar and Once Upon A Time body lotion. You can see the entire range on their website. Let me know your favourite in the comments!

Now that evenings are finally getting a little colder, thank you Britain for a gorgeous Summer; we can start thinking about those nights in where we can well and truly pamper ourselves. Grab yourself a cuppa and pop on your favourite Netflix series kinda nights.
My evenings usually begin with a bath and pyjamas before the anything else. I’ve been using Sainsbury’s Baby Bubbles because they are cheap and make my skin feel super soft. I tend to pamper myself up whilst laying in the bath with a face mask and a hair mask as well. Have you used The Body Shop’s Banana Mask yet? It smells amazing and leaves my hair feeling well nourished and shiny.
So your snuggled into your pyjamas and wrapped up cosy warm in your blankets, what are you going to watch? Well Netflix have some pretty awesome chick-flicks on right now including Sierra Burgess is a Loser, The Kissing Booth, Angus Thongs And Perfect Snogging and, of course, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. If your not in a film mood, I recommend The Good Place. It’s third season is coming out later this month which I am super excited for. The Bodyguard over on BBC iPlayer is a good little series too.
Next on the agenda is comfort food. Whether that be your local takeaway and some nibbles or your favourite dinner dish. My personal choice is a pizza followed by some delicious chocolate. Sometimes I make my classic Nacho dish which is basically crisps with plenty of cheese melted on top – yummy! I was lucky enough to be sent some of the new vegan products released from Gourmet Chocolate Pizza and believe you and me, they taste heavenly. The Devilishly Dark Vegan Chocolate Slice is one of my faves but I have to admit theHot Chocolate stickwith vegan friendly Marshmallows was a firm favourite too.
Finally, I think the most important thing about a pamper night is to turn your phone off. Try not to spend the majority of your night glued to your phone. Social media can be so positive at times but when you are wanting to relax have a technology free night is probably the best way forward. I know from my experience it usually leads to an amazing night sleep as well.
What is your idea of the perfect pamper night? Is a good book usually your thing?

We all know how much I love discovering new haircare products especially when they are cruelty free and vegan friendly. Hempz is a brand that I’ve tried a lot of over the past year. All of their products are enriched with 100% pure natural Hemp Seed oil which is known for high levels of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals making it a really well nourishing ingredient for any formulation.
The Herbal Haircare Collection is made up of five different products that include: Shampoo and Conditioner, Dry Shampoo, Workable Hairspray and Flexible Styling Sculpt all of which share a delicious Hemp and citrus scent. The whole collection is cruelty free, vegan friendly and also free from sulphates and parabens.
The Hempz Shampoo & Conditioner have been specially formulated with gentle cleansers to not only help maximise the life of coloured hair but to aid the condition, soften and smooth. The Hemp Seed oil helps to nourish and strength your locks leaving them looking healthier and shiny. On using the products, the first thing you notice is how amazing they actually smell. Similar to other Hempz products I’ve used in the past, the scent was like a tropical paradise leaving quite a fruity scent. The shampoo foams up extremely well which is something that many other sulphate and paraben free shampoos struggle to do. Both formulations are rich and thick to help de-tangle and calm frizzy hair as well as being able to seal in moisture. Another issue I’ve struggled with when using a natural haircare combo is that my hair used to get greasy quite quickly but after using the Hempz Shampoo & Conditioner, I can go up to a week without washing my hair which is brilliant for natural oils. My hair still looked and felt great after day four.
Next up was the Workable Hairspray which is designed to add body and volume. I’ve never really had a memorable experience when using hairspray in the past but that’s probably because I hardly ever used it. My hair is extremely frizzy and it gets worse due to humidity so when I heard the Hempz Hairspray works to guard against dryness, humidity and control frizz, I was excited to give it a go. I noticed that even after a full day of shooting photos or working, my hair style for that day would still be in tact which is fantastic! As far as controlling the frizz is concerned, it does do a fab job but I’m not sure whether it is a mixed combination of the hairspray and other products.
The final product I was able to try was the Flexible Styling Sculpt. Not going to lie to you, I was a bit confused when I first received this product mainly because of texture and formulation of the product. Firstly, a little goes a long way. It helps to provide hair with moisture, shine and protection whilst controlling frizz and combating dry hair. I’ve got to be honest with you, when I first started using the product I wasn’t sure whether I loved it or hated it until I went back to using it a couple of weeks ago and realised how much I’ve missed it. I melt a little bit in between my palms and then smooth it through the ends of my hair. It controls my frizz and highlights my natural curls.
Overall, I am really impressed with the Hempz Herbal Haircare Collection. The products I’ve tried have been amazing and I would definitely recommend them if your wanting to try something a little bit more luxurious. As I mentioned in my previous Hempz post (read here), I love the products that they come out with and would love to try their other products including their Aftersun and Milk & Honey Range.
Have you tried the Hempz Herbal Haircare Collection recently? What’s your thoughts?
