Father's Day CF 2015

Father’s Day is slowly but surely creeping up on us (it’s next week in case you didn’t know) so it’s about time to start thinking about treating spoiling probably one of the most important male figures in your life, your dad!

I thought I would put together a little gift guide to give you some ideas on what he may like (and he doesn’t need to be vegan either)! It’s also good to rub off the cruelty free lifestyle to others anyway, someday he will appreciate it.

Kalamazoo Beard and Facial Wash – If you dad is the bearded type then this will come in handy. The facial wash has pineapple juice to help cleanse the skin and almond and jojoba oil that will leave the beard feel soft. It’s also so easy to use so they don’t have to spend forever in the bathroom!

Thug Kitchen Recipe Book (£11.89) – I have seen this mentioned quite a few times in the vegan community. With the caption “eat like you give a f*ck” – this seems perfect to get your dad cooking up some delicious healthy meals for the family. It has over 100 recipes from snacks and sides to best-loved meals that isn’t using any of the expensive kind of foods. It also includes techniques on how to shop on a budget which is brilliant if you ask me. I feel like it is a recipe book aimed towards men hence why I chose this one over others to include in the gift guide.

American Sniper DVD (£9.99) – I went to see this at the cinema in March but it really wasn’t my thing. If you dad likes action and war movies then this is the one for him. It explains the life of Chris Kyle who is the most lethal sniper in US history. I found it emotional but very real. DVDs are always a good option if you know the kind of films your dad likes as it will give you something to watch on the evening, he might even offer you a chocolate or two from my next suggestion.

Chocolate – Chocolate is always the safe option and you know that you can always find something that he will like. I try to get an expensive, luxurious box so that he feels special (at the end of the day he is your dad and he deserves a treat now and again). Hotel Chocolat offer a wide range of options but I quite like the Father’s Day Gift Collection (£15.00) because it has a bit of everything in. They also offer vegan options too. In addition, I also suggest the gift boxes from ConsiderIt Chocolate (£11.00). I spotted them at Nevfest last weekend and the truffle bars tasted divine!

Green People Classic Clean Shave Kit (£25.00) – Shaving kits is always another favourite of mine as you know they will use them at some point in their life. This particular set is vegan and cruelty free and includes a razor, a brush, the Shave Now Wash and Shave and Cool Down Moisturiser give them all the essentials they need for shaving. It’s nice how it comes in a box already so there is no need for wasteful wrapping paper. If this is a bit expensive, you could buy his favourite brands from Superdrug or Boots and add them in a box yourself. That’s what I usually do to try and save money and be a bit more personal.

Dirty Gift Set(£39.95) – Personally I think it is quite ironic how four products used to make you feel clean and refreshed is called Dirty but that is Lush for you. This gift set includes the body spray, Gorilla perfume, soap and shower gel – everything your dad needs to feel refreshed and awakened. The minty fragranced shower gel is always a big hit with the males in my life so I thought I would include that in here too.

Hope this helps in your perfect Father’s Day gift search. Let me know what you think, I would love to know your suggestions/ideas!
