Last week I raved about my trip to the Harry Potter studios which you can read here however today I wanted to talk about the rest of my time in London.

One of the things that I knew I wanted to do when I found out we had a whole day in London was to go on the oh-so-famous London Eye. The views were incredible!! I didn’t really know how high it actually went but you could honestly see right across London. I loved every minute of it.

After going on the London Eye, we had a very expensive bicycle ride up to Soho to find somewhere to eat. We went to Chiquito’s, after much deliberation but I wasn’t complaining because the cocktails were delicious! I went for the Halloumi Burger which had grilled halloumi, tomato salsa, red onion, lettuce and crunchy nachos in a soft brioche bun with mayo and chips. It tasted so good! Apologies for lack of photography, I was just so hungry so I dug straight in when the waiter put it on the table. For pudding, we obviously chose Churros which equally tasted amazing!

Whilst walking up to Oxford Street after lunch, we came across a street named after my nephew so I feel obliged to mention this on my blog…

Before heading back on to the longest coach journey ever, there was time for a pit stop in Lush Oxford Street and surprisingly I didn’t go to mad in there.

I picked up a couple of bath bombs including: Guardian of the Forest, Golden Slumbers, Cyanide Pill and Cheer Up Buttercup. I was thinking of perhaps writing a mini review about them in the following Sunday Summaries to let you know what I think of them.

I treated myself to the Furze Perfume which smells so summery. It’s not too over-powering but you can tell that the scent is there. The one thing I love about the perfumes at Lush is that I can still smell the scent after a long 8 hour shift which is fantastic when your stuck in a stuffy office with no windows that can open all day. It has neroli oil and mimosa absolute but it smells rather similar to Vanillary if you ask me.

There’s just something about bath melts that I have fallen in love with. Ever since my operation at the start of the year, my skin has never felt more dry in it’s life. Bath melts are packed full of cocoa butters and oils to help with dry and sensitive skin. I ended up with Delight which has lime and black pepper oil which are stimulating and uplifting as well as shea butter, cocoa butter and extra virgin coconut oil that are all great for dry skin. I like how the bath oil is coated in a lovely helping of silver lustre which I think will go beautifully with the Guardian of the Forest bath bomb.

The last thing I picked up was the Prince of Darkness Face Mask which has powdered charcoal that cleanses the skin, sea salt and lavender oil that refreshes the skin and Fullers Earth which is used to absorb excess oil. I have used it twice since coming back from London and I am in love! It is such a brilliant face mask to use during the summer months as it absorbs all the oils on your skin. It left my skin feeling super clean and moisturised as well.

Tonight, I used one of the Cheer Up Buttercup bath bombs with a bit of Brightside Bubble Bar and it was so relaxing especially after having tonsillitis most of the week. The bath bomb contains lime and neroli oil which are known for uplifting and refreshing your mind and mood, cocoa butter which made it really softening on the skin and yellow lustre which obviously makes everything better when you are feeling a little bit down. If you like the citrus, summer scents that Lush offer you will probably fall head over heels in love. It kind of reminds me of Fizzbanger or Dragon’s Egg but a smaller version. Did I mention that it is great for a weekend away because of how cute and small it is?

I hope you have had a lovely week. Have you tried any of the bath bombs that I have picked up recently?
