Edd and I went to see The 1975 on Saturday. And it was amazing! I was excited but at first it felt a bit overwhelming. I went to my first concert earlier this year and the Metro Radio Arena is a lot bigger than O2 Academy in Newcastle however I managed and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a little bit emotional but in a good way.
After a McDondald’s for dinner, classy, we headed to the Arena. We brought a drink and Edd treated me to a t-shirt which is so oversized and comfy then found our seats. Whilst the Japanese Course were playing, I felt so overwhelmed about how busy the crowds were but once The 1975 came on I felt a lot more comfortable and really enjoyed the evening. The set that they had chosen to play was so amazing! Each of the songs had different colours and the vibes from the band and crowd was incredible. Matt had even worn a Newcastle United t-shirt to represent the band playing in Newcastle which made me feel a little bit proud of my city. He used the camera to entertain and connect with the audience too.
Overall they were amazing and I really want to see them in future! It is one of the best nights of my life and I wish I could just relive it all over again. It is Noel’s first birthday today so I am off to eat cake and play with him.
Have you ever been to one of The 1975’s concerts?
