Edd and I went to see The 1975 on Saturday. And it was amazing! I was excited but at first it felt a bit overwhelming. I went to my first concert earlier this year and the Metro Radio Arena is a lot bigger than O2 Academy in Newcastle however I managed and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a little bit emotional but in a good way.

Luckily enough, I had the whole day to take my time and get ready so I used the time wisely and had a bit of a pamper afternoon. I wore a black skirt with a top that I picked up from Primark. It was super comfy. I wore black tights with gold polka dots and my Gold Converse which were perfect for dancing and jumping in.
For my makeup, I kept the base the same with Beautiful Movements Bronzer and Blusher but added a highlighter that I received in my Makeup Revolution calendar. It was beautiful. On my eyes, I created a smokey eye using shades Thirteen, Password and Black Market from the Naked Smoky palette and Bump, Iced and Platonic from the Full Spectrum palette. For eyeliner and mascara, I used the Soap & Glory Supercat and Gosh Lash Sculpting Mascara. To finish off my eye look, I used a bit of Black Market on the outer waterline and the Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen in Oyster Glow in the inner corner. It worked really well and was kind of inspired by their first album colours. I finished the look of with Boss Lady from Lippy Girl which added a pop of colour. I really want to have an excuse to duplicate this look again but then again, the sound of The Holiday and Love Actually snuggled up in bed on New Years Eve sounds much better!

After a McDondald’s for dinner, classy, we headed to the Arena. We brought a drink and Edd treated me to a t-shirt which is so oversized and comfy then found our seats. Whilst the Japanese Course were playing, I felt so overwhelmed about how busy the crowds were but once The 1975 came on I felt a lot more comfortable and really enjoyed the evening. The set that they had chosen to play was so amazing! Each of the songs had different colours and the vibes from the band and crowd was incredible. Matt had even worn a Newcastle United t-shirt to represent the band playing in Newcastle which made me feel a little bit proud of my city. He used the camera to entertain and connect with the audience too.

Overall they were amazing and I really want to see them in future! It is one of the best nights of my life and I wish I could just relive it all over again. It is Noel’s first birthday today so I am off to eat cake and play with him.

Have you ever been to one of The 1975’s concerts?
