I don’t know about you but I love spring. It brings warmer weather, lighter evenings and most definitely positive and happier people. And of course a whole selection of makeup to re-kindle your love for or find new favourites from different brands. I love how glowy spring time makeup is and I can even get away with less makeup which obviously means better skin. Win, win all around!

I thought I would share a few of my favourite spring beauty items – some old, some new because I love talking about products. Spoiler: some of these items are holy grail essentials.

First up is the Too Faced Sweet Peach palette. I wrote a more in-depth review here so I won’t spend too long talking about it. The colours are perfect for transitioning from the colder months into spring and summer – although it’s still freezing cold in the North of England and it’s June but that’s a whole different story! It has some lovely peachy toned shades as well as perfectly matched darker shades that are ideal for creating smokey eye looks. Personally I have been using ‘peaches ‘n’ cream’, ‘candied peach’, ‘bellini’ and ‘caramelized’ the most out of all the shades. Another eyeshadow favourite is Urban Decay’s Midnight Cowboy. It’s much like Copper from the Naked 2 palette and Burnout from the Naked 3 palette which I also love. The shade is a really nice rose gold/metallic pink however it’s not that glittery. It makes for a really good highlighter or brightens up your eye by using it in the inner corner. The shade is really easy to blend and suitable for day or night.

I have gone back to using Superdrug’s BB Cream because it is such a light coverage and perfect for warmer days. You can use the BB Cream to cover complexions, as a primer before your foundation, mix it in with your favourite moisturiser to create a tinted moisturiser or use it by itself as a foundation. I usually use it as a foundation and then go over with my powder and it works wonders. I have found the formula to be light to medium coverage however you can easily build it up as much as you like. The only factor that makes me question whether I would buy it again is that it makes my eyes water and sting so much! My eyes are extremely sensitive anyway and if when I don’t put this anywhere near them, they still sting. If you have any suggestions please don’t hesitate to leave them in the comments below.

I have re-kindled my love for the Beautiful Movements Mineral Blush in the shade Velvet Dawn. The shade is beautiful for the spring/summer months as it gives you a lovely glowing look. It’s really light which I love as it feels as though your not applying much product to your face but you can also build it up if you are wanting something a little stronger. My last makeup favourite is Lippy Girl’s Veogcentric Lipstick in the shade Son Of A Brick. Again, I wrote a more in-depth review here but what I will say is that the lipstick is so creamy and moisturising. I love the orange tinted shade on the lips during the summer but it isn’t to harsh on the lips that it looks to overpowering.

How could I write a spring beauty favourites without including at least one product from Lush? I just couldn’t! I actually have two to share with you; the first is Sunny Day – an anti-static detangling spray for your hair. If there’s one thing I hate more than anything it’s my horrible tangled hair that seems to frizz in any weather condition. The honey and fresh lemon juice help tame frizzy hair and keep your locks looking smooth and glossy. I usually apply it in between washes and run it through my hair with my fingers although you can use it on damp hair too. The second is Kerbside Violet. I have fell head over heels in love with this perfume. I purchased the product because I didn’t want to use up all my Snow Fairy perfume in case I can’t get my hands on it later this year but it is such a lovely scent I can see myself repurchasing over and over again. If your keen on floral and seductive scents then this will be the one for you as it has a range of ingredients that leave you feeling as though you’ve stepped through a flower garden. The ingredients include: rosewood oil, ylang yang absolute, jasmine absolute and violet leaf absolute.

So there’s a few of my spring beauty favourites. I really want to get back into writing my love list’s every month but we will see. What have you been loving this spring? Anything I should check out on my next shopping trip?
