On Saturday, my sister and I headed to the Shrewsbury Winter Festival as I heard so many good things about it. Although it was rather cold (it’s been snowing quite a lot all weekend), the festival itself didn’t fail to disappoint. It was such a lovely day out and I can’t wait for it to return next year.

There was over 200 exhibitors who cosied up in marquees to share their work from homemade crafts and products to festive foods and treats in the Quarry Park, Shrewsbury. Some of my personal favourites was a stall that was selling handmade wreaths from Sweden, the fun box stall which was selling Intelligence Devil Towers aimed for all ages to create endless amounts of models including a caterpillar and an owl, and all the different cupcake stalls too. I actually picked up a muffin from Joles Gourmet which tasted amazing!

There was also live music from Geoff Rodgers and other musicians, adorable animals including alpacas named Buttons and Hot Chocolate, many food/drink stalls to chose something delicious for lunch including a Champ-A-Van selling champagne and prosecco, a clown who had a dog called Mr Sniffles was walking around the festival entertaining visitors, a human snow globe that you could get in for festive photos  and an activity tent for children to play with different activities such as connect four, chess and a bouncy castle.

Have you been to Shrewsbury Winter Festival before? It makes a change to the usual Christmas market!
