Fact: Real Techniques is the queen of make up brushes. Personally when it comes to buying any brush that I use to apply make up, I head for Real Techniques first. The quality is amazing and I find that they just do the job.

I had my heart set on the new Bold Metals collection since their release date and after finally finding a Boots stockist that sold them, I was jumping for joy. Kind of like a child would be like if he/she won a lifetime supply of sweets.

There are seven new brushes in the range: three for eyes, two for base and two for cheeks. The long, metallic 3D-triangle shaped brushes is what I think many beauty bloggers fell head over heals for. The rose gold in particular is my favourite. The prices of the brushes are rather expensive so I did only buy three from the collection but the others are on my wish list.

100 Arched Powder Brush is a perfect brush for applying powder or for contouring. I have been using this one a lot as I think it’s just brilliant compared to my previous contouring brush.

200 Oval Shadow Brush is a soft shadow brush which is perfect for creating simple and effective eye looks with the use of one shade. One swipe can apply the shadow perfectly onto the lid of your eye.

201 Pointed Crease Brush is a soft rounded dome brush that is perfect for creating en effortless smokey eye. I find it really is to blend shadow into the crease of the eye when using this brush but still getting the fine detail with the different shades of shadow.

I do have my eye on some of the others from the collection but for now I am really enjoying using these. Have you brought any of the brushes from the Bold Metals collection recently? What are your thoughts?
