Newcastle Vegan Festival took place at the start of the month at the Assembly Rooms so it was only natural for me to get myself ready and head along there. It was the first event I had went to by myself so I was a little nervous and rather anxious hence lack of photos. Now I don’t want this to be a sympathy post or anything but this is a lifestyle blog and I have to tell you as it is. I did only stay there for 45 minutes because I ended up having a panic attack which is never good, this made me extremely anxious and just wanting to get home and crawl back to bed. Nevertheless, I wanted to share with you my purchases from the day.

Essy & Bella Chocolate

First up is some tasty treats from Essy&Bella Chocolate. If truth be told I couldn’t decide which flavours to try, I could have brought a bar of each flavour if I wasn’t careful. In the end I went for Eton Mess which has strawberries and mini vegan marshmallows in it and Banofee Crunch which has dried pieces of banana and honeycomb in it. Both tasted delicious and I highly recommend them for a birthday treat.

You may remember both of these from my previous Vegan Festival experience. I love the Koko Strawberry Milks. They are just so handy for a quick on the go breakfast or snack. They taste delicious and are brilliant with some cubes of ice in the Summer. They were on offer for £1 for a pack of three so I just couldn’t help myself! I was thrilled to find the Harper’s Bizarre Candles stand again. I decided to pick up Blueberry Bakewell and Kismet as the scents are completely unique in their own little way. Blueberry Bakewell is a rather fruity scent whereas Kismet reminds me of all the Indian spices as you walk into a restaurant. They both smell wonderful too.

Did you go to the Newcastle Vegan Festival? Have you tried anything from these companies yet?
