To kickstart Veganuary, I thought I would share some of the vegan options that you can find at Nando’s. I don’t know about you but I love a good Nando’s so when I found out that I can still eat there as a vegan it made my day. I also understand that some vegans may not want to give money to a company that is in favour of eating chicken however part of the reasons why I write these posts is for those interested in moving to a vegan diet can truly see how easy it is to still be apart of every day things.
There is quite a couple of things that are okay for vegans to eat at Nando’s but my personal favourite is the Veggie Burger with the Lemon & Herb spice. Just ask for no mayo and you good to go! Another option which I know a couple of people have tried is the Portobello Mushroom Burger with no Halloumi cheese, obviously. Personally I haven’t tried this one because I don’t like mushrooms however it might be worth trying if you like them. Nando’s also do a lovely mixed leaf salad with tomatoes and you can add 1/2 an avocado for some extra pennies. Again this is something else I haven’t tried but I can imagine it tastes delicious! All of the sauces are suitable fir vegans too, apart from the caesar salad dressing.
Have you tried Nando’s as a vegan recently? Let me know what you think!
