The July Journal

It’s unexpectedly been rather quiet over here recently but I have enjoyed a bit of time off from the social media world. I am surprised that I have had a couple of new followers as well, I hope you enjoy my future posts! Anyway, I have been a bit hard on myself lately so this is going to be one of those short catch up posts to tell you what I have been doing recently.

Mid September is usually the time everyone starts getting excited about going back to University but definitely not for me. In fact, I was quite the opposite. I was anxious, extremely nervous and was probably on the verge of dropping out of University for good but with lots of advice from friends, yes Libby I am looking at you, I have pulled myself together and finished my first week back. I feel so proud of myself for it too! I’m not going to lie, it is pretty hard keeping up two blogs, working a part time job and essentially a full time University degree but I always like a good challenge.

Other than this I have been feeling a bit rubbish emotionally and a bit de-motivated with my blog. It’s a tough world out there in the ‘bloggersphere‘ with a lot of competition but what I have learnt in my break away is to not be to hard on yourself. Don’t compare your blog with others and just enjoy reading and writing whatever you want! This is exactly what I’m going to be doing, so if I want to put up three posts regarding Lush in one week then that’s what I should do because this is my little space in the corner of the internet world. I have a couple of exciting things to write about in the coming weeks which I am hoping you are going to enjoy. Another little note on the ‘bloggersphere‘ is that it’s okay to take some time off for yourself! I don’t know about anyone else but I much prefer a post that is well thought out rather than one that is rushed from having a writing block, they all happen. Some times it’s good to take a step back and evaluate parts of your life.

That’s all I wanted to say really. I will be posting on this little blog again soon but in the mean time you can follow me over on Twitter, Instagram and my student blog, Behind The Student.

What have you been up too recently? Let me know your thoughts on the ‘bloggersphere‘ too!
