Did everyone enjoy their five days of Summer this year? Okay, maybe I am over exaggerating with that one but it has honestly felt like Summer has disappeared and we are now nearing the end of another year. As I mentioned in Sunday’s post, I have been feeling really homesick recently so decided to take a trip up to Newcastle to see my favourite girly, Alice, and we couldn’t meet up without taking a few outfit shots of course.
I think this jumper that I picked up from ASOS might have just changed my life. I know, I know that is a massive statement to make but considering I don’t usually like to stand out, this bright red jumper might have just changed my view on a couple of little things. Jumpers don’t always have to be dull. For starters, look at the detailing. It gives the plain red jumper colour a little bit of texture that everyone is needing in their lives. Secondly, I am not one for bright colours so when I first put this jumper on I didn’t think I could pull it off but with these casual jeans, I think it just about works.
I picked up these jeans from New Look (similar) in the sale. I am surprised how much the red jumper matches the detailing in the jeans. This autumn floral detailing on jeans are so in right now and personally I’m in love with it. It just gives an extra something to a plain outfit. I went for a faux leather jacket that I picked up from Primark for £15, such a bargain!
For accessories, I have went for a lovely dragonfly watch which I managed to also pick up from Primark and a simple necklace which I found hidden in my jewellery stash. I also treated myself to a new bag from Sainsbury’s because my other one snapped on an adult shopping trip conveniently.
I’ve paired the outfit with my red Converse high tops because I reckon they just bring the outfit together and make it look a bit more casual. I have recently found that the best place to get Converse trainers is actually from Lovethesales. Not only does it save you time going from store to store checking whether they have the right size for you in stock but you can order them from the comfort of your own bed. The website allows you to browse multiple sales across a range of different brands like the Converse sale and the Topshop sale is looking pretty fab too. The delivery is usually quicker than ASOS and their customer service is excellent too. I’ve talked about them in a previous post however I still shop for my fashion pieces regularly from their website because who doesn’t love a good bargain!
Are you loving the bright jumper trend which seems to be appearing in all the shops at the moment? What’s your favourite pieces to wear during the colder months?
