The weather has been getting warmer and a lot of people will be flying abroad to spend a week or two in the sun so it’s about time to think about sun care. UV rays can be really harmful no matter where you are in the world and you probably won’t notice the damage straight away either! That is why SPF is so important however this doesn’t mean you need to continue buying animal tested products either. Let me introduce to you two of my favourite sun care protection lotions.

If your a big Lush fan like me then you have probably heard of Sesame Suntan Lotion. The sesame oil and walnut leaf infusion helps increase the skin’s natural reaction to sun exposure. Say hello to the gorgeous, golden summer tan you have been looking for. The lotion also includes cocoa butter and aloe extract which we all know soothes and nourishes the skin. As well as this, the lotion itself smells amazing so why would you not want to lather this all over your body daily?! Lush also offers The Sunblock and Powdered Sunshine – both other forms of protection from the sun. Sesame Suntan has quite a low SPF which will be perfect for my trip to London at the end of the month.

Superdrug also do their own sun care range called Solait so if your looking for cheap alternatives this is the place to run too. The range includes after sun moisturiser and various SPF options. I picked up the medium SPF as I am not going anyway really hot this summer but if I was going to Greece or Spain then I would usually pick up two or three high SPF bottles to get me through the start of the holiday.

Other cruelty free brands that offer sun care are Jason and Green People so you don’t have any excuse to not protect yourself from those harsh UV rays.

What are your go-to brands for sun care? Have you tried any of the products I have mentioned?
